A Legacy of Service, A Future of Justice for Jefferson County.
Meet Wendy Torelli
Jefferson County has been my home for over two decades, and it is here that I wish to continue my legacy of service as your next Magistrate for Division 2. My journey began in the United States Navy, where I embraced the values of honor, commitment, respect, and perseverance. These lessons have been the cornerstone of my more than thirty years dedicated to the judicial system, notably with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office in Maryland. In roles from Home Detention Supervisor to Correctional Housing Unit Supervisor, I honed a leadership style that is firm, fair, and impartial.
Retirement could not keep me away from public service; after a brief hiatus, I returned to serve as a part-time Correctional Officer, a testament to my dedication and the impact of my work. My career and life choices have equipped me with the unique skills and perspectives necessary for the Magistrate role.
My faith and the biblical principles of my upbringing guide me, fueling my belief in equal justice under the law for all. My commitment has always been to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I encounter. Now, residing in Charles Town, WV with my husband Phillip and our four children, I am ready to serve Jefferson County with integrity, humility, and honor.
